Holder of BSc in Computer Science from Swansea University.

I'm a full-stack Software Engineer, experienced in Web Development, Mobile Applications, and EU research programs.

I'm also a hobbyist photographer with a deep passion for the world aviation, technology, and the great outdoors as well as an indie mobile app developer.

I am fluent in English, Greek, and currently learning Spanish, always looking forward to expanding my knowledge horizons be they in skills, languages or experiences.

I believe that travelling is the greatest self-investment that money can buy, and it is the only thing you buy that makes you richer.

Your travels carry emotions and tell stories. Have a memorable flight? A notable journey? Keep track of each and every flight of yours in your personal flight diary. See them all on an interactive map.

Visualise your flying patterns, frequencies, your favourite airports, airlines, destinations, number of countries, airframe details, and discover interesting statistics you haven't thought of before!

GPS Treasure Hunt

Android

A location-based urban exploration game, adapted to the gaming culture of the 21st century.

A game where users explore new locations their area or far away set by the game community. Collect clues from your surroundings, solve puzzles and riddles, discover stories and tales, level up and unlock achievements.

An open-ended game with great flexibility, promoting physical activity and community building.

Research Projects

GUIDed - Assisted Living & Social Interaction Platform

Co-developer of communication service (Android)
Funded by AAL and the European Commission

GUIDed is a 1.25 million euro research and development project that aims to develop ICT solutions for older adults suffering from technophobia and technological abandonment.

The project provides an integrated suite of multiple services which enable elderly people to live more independently at their own homes.

The interface of the project is an Android app with an overly-simplified UI to access all services, including social communication service of which I was the co-developer.

HEPA4ALL - Health Enhancing Physical Activity for all

Main developer of website, e-Learning Platform and Android App
Funded by the Erasmus Sport programme of the EU

A research project that provides coaching and daily life guidance on HEPA to everyone in an inclusive approach.

Sole developer of the interactive e-Learning platform, supporting progress tracking, personal notes, complex submissions, file uploads etc.

Includes interactive maps, resource directories, user roles and accounts and contact requests.

Project and website built with accessibility and inclusion in mind, including colorblind-friendly colour schemes, enlarged fonts, simplified menus and adjustable settings to account for every disability.

DIPHE - Digital Inclusive Physical & Health Education

Sole developer of website & e-Learning Platform
Funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the EU

A research project for the inclusive teaching of martial arts to people with all kinds of disabilities.

Developer of the custom e-Learning platform, featuring assignments, forums, progress tracking, notes, complex submissions and media uploads.

Built with the target audience in mind, provides accessibility features many of which can be tweaked and adjusted to the needs of each user to account for their disability.

Funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the EU

A proposal aiming to bridge the gap between academia and the industry by standardizing the qualities offered by teaching institutions and the skills demanded by the industry.

Developer of the platform which matches graduates with specific knowledge, skills and competences to corresponding employers and organisations in 6 European countries.

The platform can also be used in reverse to an individual select a study programme based on their future employment preferences.

Shakespeare In Translation

Funded by the dept. of English studies of the University of Cyprus

A project inspired by OpenSourceShakespeare which tries to provide a simplistic and more user-friendly way for individuals and academics wishing to study Shakespeare's works. Users can search in the plays for characters, lines, can compare translations or create new translations and more.

TripGift

Developer of the thunderstorm awareness scenarios
Funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the EU

TripGift is a project of the Hellenic Survey of Geology and Mineral Exploration (HSGME) aiming to train pupils on geosciences through virtual trips

The VR scenarios provide information of recent thunderstorm incidents and statistics and it also includes an interactive gamified experience where users place themselves in a situations where a thunderstorm is approaching and have to select the safest points to relocate to

The platform is PC-first but can also be used on mobile devices

MyCred4Home - Developing micro-credentials for home care sector

Developer of 3 micro-accreditation challenges
Funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the EU

MyCred4Home is a project of the French qualification and home-employment professionalization organization IPERIA. It aims to promote social and professional inclusion for low qualified profiles through micro-credentials and validation of non-formal and informal learning

A series of gamified assessments and tasks, each corresponding to a different competence have been developed as well as a synchronous interview booking system for candidates and assessors and an assessor panel for review and validation of candidate attempts.

The specific project pushed existing personal boundaries of interactivity and what was thought to be possible to develop with traditional WordPress and JS frameworks

DigiRoot - Making sports clubs future-ready

Funded by the Erasmus Sport programme of the EU

DigiRoot is a project of Bayer 04 Leverkusen and another 8 organizations, aiming at helping small and medium-sized grassroot sports clubs in Europe in adopting digital technology to improve their operations.

DigiRoot provides a series of innovative tools to help such sports club and organization assess their digital-readiness level and make the necessary adjustments through specific learning pathways. It also features a Network where sport clubs and interested associates can join.
